XII HIIU KALA JA ÕLLE FESTIVAL — 2026 HIGHLIGHTS

On 15 August 2026, the 12th Hiiu Kala ja Õlle Festival brought local flavours, traditions and live music to Kassari.

The programme included the “Keige parem Hiiu õlut” competition, the traditional hole-digging contest, festival games, a local producers’ market, fish dishes, craft beer and activities for children. Brassical and Puuluup performed.

Admission was free, bringing families and friends together for a summer day in Kassari.

XI HIIU KALA JA ÕLLE FESTIVAL — 2025 HIGHLIGHTS

The 11th Hiiu Kala ja Õlle Festival took place at Kassari Puhkekeskus on 16 August 2025.
The festival celebrated local fish and beer. Hiiumaa’s fishers offered everything from Baltic herring to eel, alongside locally made beer, kvass, juices and soft drinks to taste and take home. The programme included the eighth Hiiumaa hole-digging championships. This event has passed; contact us for information about future festivals.

X HIIU KALA JA ÕLLE FESTIVAL — 2024 HIGHLIGHTS

The 10th Hiiu Kala ja Õlle Festival took place at Kassari Puhkekeskus on 17 August 2024.
It celebrated Hiiumaa’s fish and beer, with local fishers, island-made drinks, a craft market and the seventh Hiiumaa hole-digging championships. The programme included games, children’s activities, pony rides and workshops, with music by Sirgutii, Väliharf and Wiiralt.
Arno Kuusk hosted the day.
